Music, Learning Telugu (tried three times, trying still !!!)

Actively participated in theatre groups, played roles in French and Sanskrit plays.

Recently wrote lyrics for a Marathi film (Spandan) which depicts the story of a couple whose child has celebral palsy(2010).

In order to encourage school and college students of French, I ran Sunday Club of French with the help of local college teachers for three years. Under the auspices of this Club, we used to organize activities for the students which without being related to the school/college syllabus reinforced the course contents.

As the distance to reach the main library of A.P. Marathi Sahitya Parishat proved to be a deterrent, five years ago I took the lead to establish a circulating library of Diwali issues of Marathi magazines in association with an already existing cultural group.. Today , it serves an as outpost of the A.P. Marathi Sahitya Parishat. Its original 25 members have become now 30.

I did my B.A (Hons), M.A, M.phil in French from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

Submitted my PhD on 4th of July 2014( The English and Foreign Languages University)

I worked as a temporary teacher of French in Guru Nanak dev University, Amritsar for 1 year before joining this University.


Have been teaching various courses in School of French studies( face to face mode) since 2010.

My research interests are: Cinema, 19th century French literature, feminism and French as a foreign language.

Call for Papers

The Department of French and Francophone Studies of the English and Foreign Languages University (formerly CIEFL) invites academic contributions for its peer-reviewed journal devoted to publishing authentic research articles in the field of French and Francophone literature and civilization, comparative literature, teaching of French as a foreign language, linguistics and translation studies. Réflexions is published annually with original and unpublished articles in the disciplines mentioned above.
Please mail your articles, research abstracts and book reviews in French/English to for the next issue by 15th September 2016.
Articles should be sent preferably as Word document along with an abstract of 200-300 words.
