Biography

Born, brought up & educated in rural Delhi till B.Sc. (Swami Shradhanand College, DU); M.A. in Russian Studies from Univ. of Delhi with topper‟s rank & medal; M.Phil. & Ph.D. in Russian literature from JNU.

M.PHIL. dissertation is a study of legendary Russian river Angara in V. Rasputin‟s works.

Ph.D. thesis explores various facets of Russian rural woman in Russian village prose (1956-1986).

Taught at DU; CCSU, Meerut; HPU, Shimla; Indian Navy. Designed syllabi in Russian for various courses of CCSU, Meerut, and HPU, Shimla.

Joined EFLU on 11-09-2008 as Reader in Russian literature.
