POST-GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN THE TEACHING OF ENGLISH
This programme is ideal for you if you are a teacher of English and are looking forward to updating your knowledge of English grammar, pronunciation and recent methods of teaching English. Many teachers have found the courses in Linguistics and Literature that have been incorporated into this programme have helped them become better teachers. The programme also has a practical component in the form of Practice Teaching, where you get to try out all that you learn.

Who is eligible?
A person with any one of the following qualifications is eligible to apply for PGCTE:
an MA in English
OR
an MA with at least a second class in an allied discipline (Linguistics, Education, Mass Communication or Psychology) along with 5 years of experience in teaching English
OR
an MA (in any discipline) with at least a second class along with 5 years of experience in teaching
