Ph.D in ARABIC / FRENCH/ GERMAN/RUSSIAN
If you are a candidate with an aptitude and flair for independent research, this is a course that will lead you to a doctoral degree in the chosen area. You will write research papers and submit a thesis under the guidance of a supervisor(s).
In order to pursue a research programme in a foreign language you should have an excellent command of the language concerned, especially in reading and writing. This is because you will be expected to do extensive and in-depth analytical readings in the area of your research.
Who is eligible?
A person with any of the following qualifications can apply for a PhD:
i. MA in the language concerned (for Arabic, MOL) with a First Class or Grade A average.
