Ezhuttacchan
Ezhuttacchan lived either in the 16th or 17th century in what is now northern Kerala. His influence on Malayalam literature, and the language itself is immense. His major compositions are the Addhyatmaramayanam and the Mahabharatam. Other works attributed to him include the Harinama kirtanam and the Kilipattu prasthanam. He is also credited with having popularised the current script in which Malayalam is written. |
