M.A. Linguistics/ M.A. Phonetics/ M.A. Applied Linguistics/ M.A. English (which includes papers/courses in Linguistics or Phonetics) with 55% marks for general/OBC (creamy-layer) candidates, and 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled candidates

M.Phil. Linguistics/ M.Phil. Phonetics/ M.Phil. Applied Linguistics/ M.Phil.English (with specialization in Linguistics or Phonetics)
OR
PGDTE/PGCTE with at least a ‘B+’ grade for general/OBC candidates, ‘B’ grade for SC/ST category candidates OR Pursuing any of the qualifying programmes mentioned above (provided the candidate has passed the examination by the time of admission, and has scored the minimum eligibility marks as mentioned above)
Do I have to write an Entrance Test?
You will have to qualify in a written test which you can take in any of the Test centers; the interview, however, will be conducted in Lucknow.
How long does it take to complete the programme?
It will take you a minimum of 3 years and maximum of 5 years. If you have an M. Phil in the area of Linguistics and Phonetics, you may be granted a waiver of one or two semesters.
