- Dr. Meera Srinivas joined the Department of Materials development in July1993. She has a PhD in English from CIEFL. Her areas of academic interest include Curriculum and Syllabus Design, Materials Development, ESP Course Design, Language through Literature ESL Writing and Assessment. She has served the university in various capacities: Head of the Department from 2006-2009, Academic Coordinator, B.Ed (English) programme from 2005-6, All India Coordinator of the District Centre Scheme from 2009-11, Chief-Coordinator of the MEA sponsored International Training Programmes (ITP) from 2014-17, Director AIELTA and Director, Centre for Consultancy and Language Training (CCLT) (2019-2021). She is associated with several materials development projects in the university, such as the UGC Functional English Project (developed a course on Study Skills for tertiary level students), AP Social Welfare Residential Schools project (designed zero-level reading cards), Afghan-RELO Training Project, to name a few. She has authored school level English teaching books, including course books, workbooks, literature readers, teacher's books for national agencies. She currently heads the Department of Materials Development, Testing and Evaluation.
