- Ms. Rebekah A. Tham is currently Assistant Professor at the English and Foreign Languages University, Regional Campus, Shillong. She has taught German courses in various formats, including undergraduate and postgraduate courses in advanced language studies and translation, at JNU, New Delhi as well. She has also introduced German as a foreign language at management and technology institutes in the Shillong region and is active in training of teachers of German in the region. In 2019, she was part of the “Poets Translating Poets” in Shillong, a project of the Goethe Institut, Mumbai. She translated a Marathi story by Vishnu Joshi, ”Why a Rose has thorns", written in 2020, into Khasi, as "Balei u 'Tiewkulab u don shiah", in 2021.
