- Jayati Chatterjee has been teaching linguistics at the EFL University, Regional Campus, Shillong, for the past fifteen years. In the MA programme, she teaches Syntax, Morpho-syntax, Sociolinguistics, and Lexicography, and offers the Research Methodology course to the PHD participants at the Department of Linguistics. She guided researches in several domains, such as, Reflective Teaching, Washback, Alternative Forms of Assessment, Cognitive Styles and Affective Factors, Blended Learning, Code Switch, etc. Eight M.Phil. and eight Ph.D. scholars worked under her supervision and were awarded degrees. As a teacher-trainer, she trained nearly five hundred teachers of English with a special focus on the North-East.
