I got my primary and secondary education in an Arabic school (Madrasa) at Hyderabad. I obtained Urdu Fazil certificate (equivalent to intermediate) from Idara-e-Adbiyat Urdu, Hyderabad. I completed my graduation, post-graduation and PhD from Osmania University. My PhD topic was ‘The reformative trends in modern Arabic literature’.

I worked as an Arabic Lecturer in Sri Chaitanya Junior College (Hyderabad) from July 2002 to April 2010. I also worked at Osmania University as Part-Time Arabic lecturer from December 2008 to April 2010. I was appointed as Assistant Professor in EFL University on 24th May 2010. I have completed 13 years of my service in this University. During this period, I taught various courses at UG and PG levels. So far under my supervision and guidance, 6 PhD and 4 M.Phil scholars completed their research. Currently 4 PhD scholars are pursuing their research work under my guidance.

I presented papers in more than 20 national and international seminars and conferences. I attended a 3-week orientation programme and 4 refresher courses at Academic Staff College of different universities. I prepared 3 modules for Online Arabic Course under the auspices of EFL University. I also prepared Self-Learning Material for M.A. Arabic Course, MANNU, Hyderabad.

I have profound interest in the modern Arabic prose. My focus has been the literary trends which emerged during the last century and influenced different forms of modern Arabic literature. Most of my publications deal with the literary trends and issues related to the modern Arabic literature. I also have deep interest in translation. I taught Arabic translation for many years at EFLU and published a book on the methods and the approaches of translation. One of my area of interest is the modern Arabic linguistics. My interest prompted me to write a book on modern Arabic linguistics. I plan to continue my research work in this area.
