She has fourteen years teaching experience till date and, prior to teaching, she was involved in a number of productions for the All India Radio and Doordarshan Kendra, Shillong, as a production assistant. She also worked as an assistant news editor in the AIR Shillong newsroom and forayed into documentary and short-film making for a few years. At present, she is pursuing her doctoral studies in the area of Gender Studies. She joined the English and Foreign Languages University, Regional Campus, Shillong, as Assistant Professor, in November 2009. She specializes in radio production but is also interested in furthering her experience in critical media perceptions like cultural and gender studies.
