- Dr. Srinivas Lankala teaches courses in Media Studies, Semiotics, Documentary Film, Scriptwriting, and Television Production. He has a Ph.D in Communication from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and an M.A. in Communication from the University of Hyderabad. Prior to EFLU, Dr. Lankala has worked as an academic administrator with the Indian Institute for Human Settlements, Bangalore, and as an independent filmmaker with civil society organisations.

- Dr. Lankala’s research interests are in the areas of semiotics and popular culture, critical media studies, post-structuralism, and the philosophy of communication. His published work deals with media theory, discourses of nationalism, ideology, and representation.
