Brief bio note: Dr. Uma Damodar Sridhar is a French teacher and translator with more than 30 years of experience. She joined the EFL University in 2009 where she is now Associate Professor teaching French language, linguistics, teaching methodology of FLE and translation. She previously worked at the Alliance Française of Hyderabad from 1988 to 2000 as teacher and translator, and as Translation bureau in-charge and Deputy-Director from 2005 to 2009. Her areas of interest are teaching methodology of French as a foreign language, translation, linguistics and intercultural communication, and she has published articles and translations in national and international journals. She has supervised over 30 MA dissertations, 1 MPhil and is currently guiding 3 PhD scholars.
