- Dr Anand Mahanand is a Professor in the Department of Materials Development, Testing and Evaluation. He is interested in the areas of Materials Development, Syllabus Design, English for Academic Purposes, Multilingual Education and pedagogic aspects of English literature and language. He has guided twenty Ph. D and fifteen M. Phil dissertations in these areas. He has completed two UGC Minor Research projects, designed materials for EFLU, IGNOU and for Dr B.R Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad. His important publications include English through Folktales, Tribal India in Fiction: Imagining the Other, Local Knowledge, English for Academic and Professional Skills, and Literature for Language Skills. He has translated two collections of folktales and two collections of short stories and some of the texts of Gopinath Mohanty, Pratibha Ray and Ruskin Bond. He is the Executive Editor of Lokaratna, an International peer reviewed online journal devoted folklore, literature and pedagogy. He has discharged administrative responsibilities as Dean, Foreign Students, Dean, Publications, Director, CCLT and Director, USR at EFL University Hyderabad.
