Brief bio note: Completed Ph.D in Mass Communication from Hyderabad Central University, (HCU) Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh in 2000.

First research scholar to be awarded a doctorate in Mass Communication from the institution from the time of its inception. A University Grants Commission (UGC) Junior and Senior Research fellowship accorded. (1994).

Completed Masters’ in Communication and Journalism (MCJ), Osmania University, Hyderabad in 1992-94.

Also completed Masters in Sociology, (MA) through correspondence, Annamalai University. (1990-92)

Involved in extensive teaching and training communication professionals at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels.
Thrust areas of interest and research: Areas of interest and research are Media analysis, Media pedagogy, Media and Communication research and Gender.
