Brief bio note: I worked as a Junior Lecturer in English (temporary) in Govt. Model Residential Polytechnic for five years as well as Govt. Junior College for Girls at Madanapalle, in Andhra Pradesh. I also worked as Lecturer in English (temporary) for one academic year in the First Grade College at KGF. I Joined as Lecturer in English (BOA) at ICC&CE, University of Mysore in 1994 which is now known as Karnataka State Open University for five years and then in 1999, I was appointed as Reader in English (BOA) in the Department of Studies in English, University of Mysore for eleven years till I joined as Associate Professor at the English and Foreign Languages University in 2010. I got Professorship in 2017 (under CAS). From 1994 till date, I rendered 29 years of service in teaching and research in three different universities.
Thrust areas of interest and research: I did my MPhil on Edward Albee, an American Playwright and my Doctoral thesis was on Harold Pinter, British playwright who got the 2005 Nobel Prize in Literature. I teach several courses on drama and theatre for MA students, which includes: Post-War as well as Contemporary British drama and American drama, Postcolonial drama, Continental drama, World drama, Theatre of Genocide, Political drama, etc.
