- Alankar Kaushik is an Assistant Professor in the department of Journalism and Mass Communication since 2009. He has been teaching Communication and Social Change for the last ten years. His research interests involve the areas of Children and Media and Community Media. He has been practicing Community Media for Social Change by working on various projects with UNICEF on Participatory Media since 2012 in Assam and Meghalaya thereby assisting children, women and other members from the economically disadvantaged section of the society to build the skills required to report their issues by using various communication tools. Currently he has been involved with a project on Regional Language Media in NE India commissioned by ICSSR, New Delhi. His other current projects are on Participatory Video Initiative in Assam with the flood affected people commissioned by IATSS Forum, Japan and on the internal migration in Assam.
